I don’t see why. If I can pay all of the cash it costs why should my credit matter? I’m not borrowing it or getting it with credit so what would be the problem?

If you are paying 100% of the car in cash you don’t need credit. Yiou are paying cash for the car.
That’s like Best Buy refusing to sell you a TV when you have the cash to pay for it just because you don’t have a Best Buy Credit Card.
If you are paying cash for the car you don’t need credit and they shouldn’t even be running your credit report.
It shouldn’t.
Ive sold dozens of cars & never checked anyones credit.
Some dealers are going to want to “prequalify” you as a matter of procedure.
(They don’t want to waste time with tire kickers who cant buy and since most people don’t have cash up front, they will ask for a credit app. Just say no. But be prepared to demonstrate that you can & will buy today. (Whipping out a wad of $100s works well for this)
agree – if you can pay the full price in cash your credit rating shouldn’t matter. but if you can pay the full price in cash you might better use the money to repair your credit report
If you’re paying full in cash, your credit shouldn’t make one bit of difference.
You are right.
How else mac daddy gets his pimp rides.
