I’m enrolled in the WIC program and we were told that we could save ourselves time by taking a class online rather than go into WIC itself. I read on my question earlier how some dumb chick told me to stop mooching off the government and if I can’t afford to have a baby then don’t have her. Also I use her tax money to buy cigarettes. Uh, really???? First of I’m educated and was a 4.0 college student top of my class. I had a great job earning me good money. And my pregnancy was a planned pregnancy so yes, she was provided with everything that she needs. I don’t drink, smoke, abuse drugs, and I sure as heck don’t party. I lost my job and my income qualifies for me to help I need in these hard times. Don’t judge me you don’t know my situation I’m sick of people thinking that mothers like myself are uneducated and live off the government. I don’t! I’m not lazy and I take care of my child! I speak for all mother’s educated or not just because we get help doesn’t not make us bad mothers. In the dental field working with the best of the best we never judged our patient based on insurance we treated everyone with the same respect because we are all EQUAL!!! I swear I could punch someone I’m so heated!

Google your county website, there should be a link on it for online services. Some people suck.
Sorry you had to put up idiots. Im on wic. Ppl need to just mind their bussiness. Anyway… Im in yrcas and their online wic class website is texaswic.org. So maybe its your state then wic.com…. Hope I helped some. Keep your chin up
I wouldn’t let stupid people get me rattled and you should not either. Just breathe and don’t worry about them
@ K for you acting so high class you have no class at all. I read the question earlier and it was YOU that Overnight Celebirty was talking about. WIC is a good program and it educates parents on what proper nutrients they should be giving their child. They support breast feeding to the fullest and help mother’s who have trouble doing so. In answer to your Capri Sun they educate parents on not to give your child juices, sweets, and other unhealthy snacks. Parents who give those to their children that’s on them but WIC does not support those decisions. Overnight Celebirty sorry you had to answer back to K who feels that she is better than you by assuming you that you are an unfit mother. Remember she’s the one with the problem not you.
If you’re that angry, why don’t you use that energy to complain about this form of state assistance that presumes ignorance on the part of its claimants? I think it’s dreadful that your country assumes that low income = a need for the state to oversee your mothering.
I get that they are trying to help babies &c, but it looks like the classes aren’t even very good — certainly there are a lot of mothers on here whose nursing was sabotaged by bad advice from a WIC advisor, and look at the abysmal nursing rates among WIC-receiving moms…
At least there should be the option of taking a quick test (baby should receive solids when? is Capri Sun a good choice for baby’s bottle? etc) to prove you do not require instruction on things wealthier mothers are presumed to not need. Rise up and protest!
