I Need To Make Some Cash….is This Ok?

By Money F Posted in: Cash

I Figure there are so many people around that believe in this god dude I could use it to my advantage.
From what I can gather lots of people are happy to give money through collections.
How much could I make per month out of these deluded sheep?
I know of an old methodist church that is not being used. I’m sure I could get it cheap, spruce it up a bit (well the floor at least as they like kneeling).

10% tithes and more from the rich ones not to mention those who want to pay off their sins and the old ones who leave it in there wills and trust to make sure they get to see god.

Since it would be a for-profit organization you would have to pay taxes.
Other churches, donations are given by the congregation and then the congregation decides how to allocate them. Rent/mortgage, utilities, repairs, charity, minister salary, toilet paper for the bathrooms, etc.
No one earns a profit from the donations to the church… or even if the church sells something, people don’t earn a profit. It goes back into the church & community.
If you’re taking money in for proft through a church or not, you would be subject to run it as a for-profit business or you end up in jail for tax evasion.

Dude I’d throw down on a church. In fact, that’s a plan- I will find people to invest in the purchase of one church, in return for membership on the board of directors.
I’d stick with the 10 percent but pull a Joel Osteen feel good the secret style sermon- Jesus will get you a big house! a better wife! more shoes!

Be careful its not as easy as it seem, You will need a turf and a zealot . then you have to paint graffiti to increase your influence and be prepared to clash agains the rival religion gang

Poor attempt at humor. Completely lacking any insightful irony. All you have done is blown up “deluded sheep” into three paragraphs… Tossing an simple insult does not mean that you are intellectually superior in any way.

When you boil it all down, that’s kind of how Scientology got started. So, yes you can do it. But be sure to file for your tax exemption.

  7. Jesus Likes This Says

A lot of preachers have been known to be con artists. Just quit while you`re ahead.
You could make at least a few thousand a month. It depends on how many people attend. Target the rich like most con artists.

My dear chap, anyone who pastors a flock does not make money – it is a vocation not a profit making scam.

Love your slogan. There should always be truth in advertising. So little of it these days.

You need some kind of catchy slogan, like Join Our Church or Go To Hell.
Hang on…. that one’s already taken.

you apparently have some sort of issue with churches and ministries needing money to operate. but really, how do you expect a church to pay their electricity bill or to pay for the mortgage on their land or building? and are the people who work at the church supposed to work for free? they don’t need money to take care of their families and personal needs?
you complain about believers paying 10 percent to the church, but i’ll bet dollars to donuts you have at least one credit card in your wallet you pay 23% or more for. besides, churches ask for 10% of the totaly income a person makes, but they actually receive a great deal less than that. only about 8 to 12 percent of the totaly number of members in any given church pay anything at all and no churches turn people away because they didn’t pay their tithes or offerings, so your complaints are pretty petty and small.
out of that money they do receive, churches pay for all their bills, pay their employees, and send money to missionaries over seas, feed the hungry homelless people, operate clothes closets for the poor and needy, provide free bibles and other teaching materials to those in need, run their sunday schools and vacation bible schools for the children and provide emergancy help in times of distress or disaster. wow…how terrible churches are to expect people who believe they way they do and attend their services to give to help with these things. what villians.
