If They Searched My Work History, could They Accuse Me Of Lying?

By Money F Posted in: Cash

I worked as a sports photographer for a guy in my home town
when he hired me, he paid me under the table, as in giving me straight cash
i was never paid in checks
he did have me fill out an application, but the application didnt go through him,it went through to the management of the soccer field, where i took pictures (probably for liability purposes?)
starbucks tells me to list ALL work history or click “i dont have any work history to add”
what is my best bet?
If a potential starbucks employer were to look me up through a bg check and my ssn,i wouldnt be sure if they seen the job on there or not
probably not,right?
what do i do??

Write it down, you’re more likely to get the job if it shows it’s not your first job. Also, the background checks companies run applications through search for criminal history, not employment history.

You need to request your job that you’re working for because that would be crucial! Don’t sit and wait, do something. Also asking for your SSN is not acceptable unless they’ve got a police warrant. That number is for no one to know except trustworthy companies.

just put it to show work experience. people put babysitting as a job even though its under the table.
