Islam And Stealing: Im Muslim And I Used To Steal, What Can I Do?

By Money F Posted in: Money

Im 18 now, when I was 13/14 I got into the habit of stealing I stopped when I was 17. I knew what I was doing was wrong and against my religion and I was greedy. I know if I lived in a Muslim country I would probably have my hands cut off or something. But I don’t know what to do, I have things in my house which are stolen. I don’t know what to do with them, I want to show ALLAH that I’m truly sorry for what I did. So I am going to give everything that I can to a charity shop, and I’m going to throw everything else away. But I’m going to make a ruff estimate of how much everything I throw away costs then give that money to charity. Is there anything else that I can do?

May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon you dear Asker, hope you are in the best of health and faith inshaAllah~
Dear sis, all sins are forgiven upon repenting. Allah forgives all sins when one repents sincerely since He is the All-merciful and Full of love toward his slaves. Sis, we are human and we are imperfect, all of us make mistakes and some of us sins and the the best of sinners are those who repent. SubhanaAllah, it is a mercy that when we commit a mistake or sin, some of our bad actions lead us to the right path. With you, stealing has made realize the awfulness of this behavior leading you to seek the forgiveness and the right path. Sis, the stuffs that you stole, sell them and give the money to charity. Remember, Satan will certainly whisper you to take the money, at that stage sis, seek refuge in Allah from his evil whisper and present the money to a charity wholeheartedly.
Sis, prayers prevent immorality and evil acts, so stick to prayer always then inshaAllah you’d never think of committing such deeds that displeases Allah. Sis, ask Allah for forgiveness in your prayer and ask him to guide you the right path, inshaAllah He Almighty will certainly protect you from evil actions inshaAllah. Do not disclose this matter to your family, for they will be unhappy with it. From now on, open a new page and erase your past dear sis. Do not let your past actions upset you because no one is free from errors, we are human and we all make errors.
From now on sis, stick to your daily duties to Allah and always ask for forgiveness for you and for the whole Ummah.
May Allah make you among the pious and righteous Ameen :)

You are taking the first step by returning or getting rid of everything for charity. The next thing is to pray and give a prayer asking for forgiveness with the promise that you are a changed person. You have to believe that you are forgiven though and not keep carrying around the guilt or you really don’t believe in your faith.

Go find an Infidel Allah created just for you and pile a whole bunch of genocide on his azz…
….or go to the Middle East and teach your fellow yahoo’s that “jihad is a stupid pracitice” so our military can come home and a large portion of violence– which has been going on for eon’s –will be reduced.

Were they unbelievers or Muslims? If they were real people, you ask forgiveness and stop. If they were unbelievers, why do you care?

Go back to the stores you stole from and apologize and pay them back instead of giving the money away.
