I don’t blame the guy for avoiding his own state’s high taxes. He did nothing illegal, nothing “wrong”. States, AND COUNTRIES, see capital flee from their borders all the time due to ridiculous tax policy.
People of all political stripes go to great lengths to avoid taxation legally. It’s exactly why high taxes never, ever generate the amount of money they claim they will.

we never said what Romney did was illegal. and we never said what Kerry did was right. “tax avoidance is legal, tax evasion isn’t.”, that’s what my corporate taxation professor always said. it’s not that Romney is doing anything illegal, it’s the fact that it is legal, in a time when we can’t afford to be giving those kind of breaks to individuals like him & Kerry. that and Romney is just a spineless hypocrite who’s never held an original political stance in his life.
It’s funny to see Conservatives single out a liberal, while ignoring their own malfeasance.
If you think Kerry was wrong to do it…guess what? So do I. He stopped doing it. Yay.
Now stop Romney from doing the same.
Its funny to see liberals defend kerry’s decision but criticize Romney for having off-shore accounts.
